Referral program

Know another streamer who would get something out of StreamerCatalyst? Send them your referral link. They get a longer free trial, and you get credit on your account when they start paying.

You find it under Refer a streamer in the sidebar, below Billing. Only the broadcaster sees it — a referral credit is money on the broadcaster’s account, so moderators do not have access to the page.

Your link looks like this:

The code is opaque and random — it is not your channel name, and it never becomes your channel name. Share it anywhere: chat, your panels, a Discord server, a video description.

When somebody opens it we remember them for 30 days. If they sign up for StreamerCatalyst in that window, on that browser, they are tied to you. The link does nothing else — it does not sign anybody in, it does not create an account, and it sets no tracking beyond that one 30-day marker.

A few cases where a click does nothing, which are all deliberate:

• They already have a StreamerCatalyst account. An existing channel cannot be referred. They land on the dashboard as usual.
• They sign up on a different browser or device. The marker lives in the browser they clicked in.
• They clear their cookies, or take longer than 30 days.

What the streamer you refer gets

A 14-day free trial on their first paid plan, instead of the usual 7. Their card is not charged until the trial ends, and cancelling before then costs them nothing — exactly as the standard trial works, just twice as long.

They see the offer immediately: opening your link shows a banner on the StreamerCatalyst homepage naming you, and the trial length follows them through signup, their welcome email, the setup checklist and the billing page.

The trial applies to their first-ever subscription. A channel that has already subscribed at some point has spent its trial, referral or not.

What you get

A fixed $5.00 credit on your StreamerCatalyst account.

The credit is a real balance on your account with our payment provider, and it comes off your next invoice automatically. There is nothing to redeem, no code to enter, and it does not expire.

If you are on the Free plan, the credit waits for you. It sits on your account until the first time you start a paid plan, and comes off that first invoice. You do not have to be a paying customer to earn one.

When it pays out

The credit is earned when the streamer you referred pays their first invoice — not when they sign up, and not when they start their trial.

That means:

• A trial invoice does not count. A free trial invoices at $0, and nothing has been paid.
• A 100%-off promotional code does not count either, for the same reason. The credit is earned against real revenue.
• If they start a paid plan with no trial, the credit lands as soon as that first payment goes through.

Once it converts you get an email, a notification in the dashboard, and the row on your Referrals page flips from Signed up to Credited.

The cap

Up to 25 rewards per channel. After that, referrals you make still show up on your page and the streamers you referred still get their longer trial — you just stop earning credit. Those rows read Over the cap.

Things worth knowing

You cannot refer yourself. Opening your own link and signing up with the same channel attributes nothing.

Credit is not clawed back. If the streamer you referred later gets a refund or charges back, your credit stays. Nothing on your Referrals page is ever reversed.

A referral is counted once, at signup. Editing anything afterwards does not move it, and signing in again later never re-attributes an account that already exists.

If a credit fails to apply, the row says Credit failed rather than silently showing nothing. That usually means your account is invoiced in a currency the credit could not be issued in; we are told automatically and it retries on your next paid invoice.

Refer a streamer in the sidebar shows your link, a Copy button, how the program is configured right now, three totals — signed up, subscribed, credited to you — and the list of everyone who joined through your link with their current status.
