Integrations module
The Integrations module connects platforms outside Twitch to your StreamerCatalyst channel. Tiltify is the first and currently the only one: link a Tiltify charity campaign and its donations work like Twitch Charity donations. Your Events charity rules fire, subathon time is added, goal bars and Subathon Goals ladders move, and the campaign appears on Numbers → Charity and on your public Event Page.
Available on the Free tier and above. See Module access by tier. Connecting costs nothing. What a donation drives still follows each module’s own tier: Events charity rules, for example, need the Affiliate tier.
At a glance
| Page | What it does |
|---|---|
| Integrations → Tiltify | Connect your Tiltify account, pick the campaign to link, and see its raised total and delivery health. You can also switch campaigns, unlink, or disconnect from here |
Only the broadcaster can connect, link, switch, unlink or disconnect. Lead Mods and mods see the card read-only, with the note “Only the broadcaster can connect or change Tiltify.” Signing in to Tiltify proves whose Tiltify account it is, so a moderator’s sign-in would prove their own account, not yours.
Linking your Tiltify campaign
- Open Integrations → Tiltify and click Connect Tiltify. You’re sent to Tiltify to sign in and approve the connection.
- Finish the Tiltify sign-in in the same browser, within 10 minutes. You land back on the card with “Tiltify account connected — now pick your campaign.”
- The card lists the published campaigns on that Tiltify account, each with its raised total and goal. Click Link next to the one you’re running.
As soon as a campaign is linked, its current total is sent to your goal bars, Numbers → Charity and the Event Page, so they fill in before the first new donation arrives.
Which campaigns can be linked:
- Your own campaigns only. The campaign must be run by the Tiltify account you connected. Team and co-hosted campaigns belong to a team rather than to your account, so they can’t be linked yet.
- Published campaigns only. A draft can’t be linked.
- One channel per campaign, one campaign per channel. A campaign already linked to another StreamerCatalyst channel is refused. Linking a different campaign replaces your current one (see Switching, unlinking and disconnecting).
- The right stream. If the campaign lists a different Twitch channel as its stream, the card warns you: “This campaign lists twitch.tv/… as its stream, not this channel.” Donations still arrive at the channel you linked from, so check you picked the right campaign.
Your Tiltify sign-in is used once, to confirm which Tiltify account is yours. StreamerCatalyst does not keep it.
What a donation does
Each donation to the linked campaign is delivered to StreamerCatalyst once and then reaches every module that handles charity donations:
| Destination | What you get |
|---|---|
| Events | Charity Donation rules fire, with thresholds in the campaign’s currency, and their chat message goes out. $(username) is the donor’s name as typed on Tiltify (or “a donor” when anonymous), $(amount) the donation, and $(charity) the cause. Rules fire only while an event is active |
| Widgets | Subathon timer: time at your Minutes per $1 donated to charity rate. Subathon goals: progress on a charity ladder (Single type → Charity donations) or charity points in points mode. Goal progress: the Charity campaign (Twitch or Tiltify) source tracks the campaign against its own target. Counter: the Charity Donations and Charity Raised metrics |
| Numbers | Numbers → Charity shows the campaign with a “via Tiltify” badge, its raised total, its goal, and a link to the Tiltify campaign page. Donations count toward the Charity chart metrics, and Charity Raised is available as a goal |
| Event Page | The Charity campaign card shows the campaign, its cause, the raised total (against its goal when there is one) and a Donate button to Tiltify while the campaign is open. It’s on by default on the public page and off by default on the browser source. See The public Event Page |
| Custom widgets | The charity-donation event, with source set to tiltify and the donor’s comment as message, plus numbers.charity-updated whenever the campaign total changes |
How a Tiltify donation differs from a Twitch one:
- A Tiltify donor has no Twitch account. Each donation counts on its own in Events: cumulative-total rules, meta rules and per-viewer earn caps skip it, as they do an anonymous tip. Tiltify donors don’t appear on the Events leaderboards. Charity donations never grant giveaway entries, from Tiltify or from Twitch.
- There’s no built-in chat shout-out. To thank donors in chat, use the message on an Events Charity Donation rule.
- Names and comments are cleaned. A donor named “Anonymous”, or with no name, is treated as anonymous. Names are kept to 100 characters and comments to 500, with line breaks turned into spaces.
- Amounts are exact in any currency. No currency is converted. The subathon timer applies its per-$1 rate to whatever currency the campaign uses.
- Pending payments wait. A donation Tiltify hasn’t marked as completed is skipped until it is.
Delivery and timing
Tiltify normally pushes each donation to StreamerCatalyst within seconds. Behind that, a catch-up check runs every 5 minutes. It re-reads the campaign’s recent donations and delivers any that were missed. It also refreshes the campaign’s raised total. If Tiltify has switched delivery off (Tiltify does this after about an hour of failed deliveries), the check turns it back on.
Each donation counts once. Tiltify re-sends a donation every time it’s moderated or refunded, and the catch-up overlaps the previous check. Every copy after the first is ignored.
If Tiltify won’t push updates for your campaign, the link still completes. The card then says “Tiltify isn’t pushing updates for this campaign, so donations arrive within about 5 minutes instead of seconds,” and the catch-up check delivers them. StreamerCatalyst keeps asking Tiltify again: every 5 minutes for the first hour, then hourly. Push delivery comes back on its own once Tiltify accepts, so you don’t need to relink. While push is working, it’s renewed hourly.
Late donations skip the alert, and nothing else
A donation that reaches StreamerCatalyst more than 10 minutes after it was made is marked late. This is usually one the catch-up recovered after a delivery gap. Overlays don’t react to a late donation as a new one, so there’s no alert or sound on stream, because a 40-minute-old alert looks broken. A donation whose completion time Tiltify didn’t send is treated the same way.
Everything else still counts, because the money was given during your stream:
- subathon time and Subathon Goals progress
- goal bars
- Events charity rules and their chat message
- Numbers
- the Event Page
In Numbers, a late donation made before your current stream started counts toward the hour and day it was made, not toward the stream.
When the catch-up recovers donations, the card’s Delivery section says so: “Recovered 3 donations (+$75.00) after a delivery gap…”. If you added subathon time by hand for those donations while you waited, take it back with the subtract buttons on the Subathon timer’s Controls tab. When the recovered donations were in more than one currency, the line shows the count only, never a summed amount.
The raised total
The raised figure is Tiltify’s own stated total plus any donations completed since StreamerCatalyst last read it. The campaign is re-read whenever Tiltify reports a change, and at least every 5 minutes by the catch-up. Between reads, the figure can be briefly off by a donation until the next read corrects it.
- Twitch Charity comes first. If a Twitch Charity campaign is live on your channel at the same time, your goal bars, Numbers → Charity and the Event Page show Twitch’s total instead.
- The goal is Tiltify’s. If the campaign has no goal, or its goal is in a different currency from its total, no target is shown. Numbers → Charity then suggests setting your own on the Numbers Goals page.
- Donations made before you linked count only through the campaign total. They’re never replayed, so they don’t fire alerts, add subathon time, earn Events rules, or appear in Numbers’ donation history. The campaign’s raised total still includes them because it comes from Tiltify. A Subathon Goals ladder set to Sync progress with the charity campaign counts them too.
- Refunds and moderation on Tiltify don’t undo anything. Alerts already shown, time already added and rules already earned stay. The raised total follows whatever Tiltify reports.
Switching, unlinking and disconnecting
The linked view of the card has three actions (broadcaster only):
- Switch campaign opens the campaign list again. The new campaign is linked first, then the old one is released. If the old one can’t be released, you’ll see “Linked. The previous campaign couldn’t be released…” and its donations may keep arriving until it is.
- Unlink stops receiving the campaign’s donations. Past donations stay in Numbers.
- Disconnect unlinks the campaign and forgets your Tiltify account.
Connecting a different Tiltify account unlinks your current campaign first, because a campaign can’t belong to the new account. Reconnecting the same account leaves the link alone.
End the campaign on Tiltify before you unlink
StreamerCatalyst only learns that a campaign has ended from Tiltify, while the campaign is linked. If it ends while linked, the card says “This campaign has ended on Tiltify,” Numbers → Charity marks it Ended, and the Event Page shows it as ended with no Donate button. An ended campaign stays on the Event Page only while the event it ended during is active.
If you unlink or disconnect while the campaign is still running on Tiltify, StreamerCatalyst never hears that it ended. Your goal bars, Numbers → Charity and the Event Page (Donate button included) keep presenting it as open. A campaign that has since ended on Tiltify can’t be relinked to fix this, because only published campaigns link. Switching to an older campaign has the same effect: those surfaces stay on the newer campaign.
So when a fundraiser is over, end it on Tiltify first, wait for the card to say it has ended, and then unlink.
Delivery health on the card
The Delivery section shows how donations are reaching you:
| Line | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Last webhook from Tiltify | When Tiltify last pushed an update for this campaign, or “none received yet” |
| Last catch-up check | When the 5-minute check last finished for this campaign |
| Tiltify push updates: on / refused | Whether Tiltify accepted push delivery for this campaign, and when that was last checked |
| Recovered N donations… | Donations the catch-up found after a delivery gap (see Late donations) |
| Tiltify delivery: active / inactive | Whether Tiltify’s delivery to StreamerCatalyst is switched on. While it’s inactive, donations still arrive through the catch-up |
Anything the card couldn’t read is labelled as unavailable (“Delivery health couldn’t be read just now”, “Raised: unavailable”), never shown as blank or zero. The public status page also lists Integrations as its own service.
Troubleshooting
| You see | What it means |
|---|---|
| ”That campaign isn’t run by your Tiltify account…” | The campaign belongs to another account, or it’s a team campaign. Only your own campaigns can be linked |
| ”That campaign isn’t published on Tiltify yet.” | Publish it on Tiltify, then link it |
| ”That campaign is already linked to another channel.” | Another StreamerCatalyst channel has linked it. It has to be unlinked there first |
| ”This Tiltify account has no published campaigns.” | Publish a campaign on Tiltify, then reload the page |
| ”That sign-in expired. Click Connect Tiltify to start again.” | The sign-in took longer than 10 minutes, or was finished in a different browser from the one that started it |
| ”Tiltify sign-in was cancelled.” / “Tiltify sign-in didn’t finish. Try again.” | The Tiltify approval was declined or didn’t complete. Nothing was changed |
| ”Tiltify didn’t accept the link just now. Nothing was changed — try again in a minute.” | Tiltify had a temporary problem while linking. Your previous link, if any, is untouched |
| ”Tiltify didn’t answer just now.” | Tiltify couldn’t be reached. Try again in a minute |
| ”Tiltify isn’t set up yet.” | Tiltify isn’t available on StreamerCatalyst yet. Nothing on your account will fix this |
- Donations arrive minutes late. Check the card: “push updates: refused” or “Tiltify delivery: inactive” means donations are coming through the 5-minute catch-up instead of instantly.
- A donation counted but didn’t alert. It was probably late (more than 10 minutes old when it arrived). Look for a “Recovered…” line on the card.
- The goal bar shows a different campaign. A live Twitch Charity campaign takes precedence, or an unlinked campaign is still presenting as open (see End the campaign on Tiltify before you unlink).
- Tiltify is down mid-subathon. Add time by hand on the Subathon timer’s Controls tab, using the Charity donation reason. This moves only the subathon timer. It doesn’t change your charity total on goal bars, counters or the Event Page.
